Furst Holdings Ltd t/a Furst Construction was formed in 2007. The company specialises in design and build and construction management projects.

Furst Construction and has been specifically established to service both the Western and Eastern Caribbean.

The company's registered office is Chambers, 55A Newgate Street, St Johns, Antigua and Barbuda, West Indies

The Managing Director, Tony Frend has vast experience of working in the Caribbean and has been responsible for a number of major projects in the region.

The Operations Director of Furst Construction is I.M. Kenneth Hurst. Ken Hurst is an Antiguan national who is based in St John's, Antigua. Ken trained in the United Kingdom as a polymer scientist at the University of Birmingham.


Design and Build:

Clients who opt for this service are able to utilize our expertise to ensure that their projects are developed in the most economical manner. From your design brief and detailed requirements we employ the necessary professional team of Architects and Engineers to design your project.

Once designed our experienced staff will complete the construction works using both modern method of construction or the more traditional methods that some client choose

The design and build concept is particularly valuable to the overseas clients as we appreciate it is not always possible to spend as much time as would be desired on-island talking to a range of professionals.

Having one point of contact we feel is an advantage and allows client and contractor to become one.


Construction Management:

Having produced a detailed cost plan for your project we will take your development right through to completion.

We will work with either your selected project management, design team or our approved professional team to prepare bid packages and evaluate the subcontractors' submitted proposals.
Upon selection of the subcontract we will document and supervise the work through to handover

You will be provided with monthly updates on the progress of your project, digital photographs on the advancement of the development, written reports and detailed cash-flow statements. Your project will be completed on time and to a high standard of quality.


Project Management:

Similar to construction management we are able to take on the role of project management for your development.
Our experienced staff are able to manage the design teams on your behalf to ensure that your development is completed to the requirements you specify.

We achieve this by combining your ideas and our knowledge of local construction standards and techniques to produce the most aesthetically pleasing and cost effective product.

The project management process commences with the design brief and progresses through design development, costing, planning and value engineering.
We can provide monthly updates on progress, scheduling and cost, continually working with architects and engineers throughout the whole process to ensure that the end product meets your expectations.
